Here's my latest Device Manager screenshot. It feels like we've got over the big hurdle by updating the Chipset drivers, but maybe there's now some Windows issue preventing Bluetooth working properly? (I also updated drivers for all Bluetooth devices) I've also tried the uninstallation of the USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) from Device Manager as you suggested - it reinstalled everything ok on reboot, but it hasn't brought Bluetooth back to life. Once it had run to completion and rebooted the Bluetooth was present in Device Manager only when I did " Show hidden devices", so it's not in a working state despite the positive signs. I've run the latest Chipset update from the HP site, which was encouraging, as the Bluetooth icon flashed up briefly in the taskbar.
